British Homeowners Are Falling for Green’s Calm, Versatile Appeal

Green is fast becoming one of the most sought-after interior colours for British homeowners, according to new research from eco paint brand Victory Colours.

Using data from Pinterest’s Home Décor category, Victory Colours found searches for the term ‘Shades of Green’ have increased 20 per cent over the last month*.

And the team at Victory Colours, which specialises in environmentally-friendly paint, believes it’s the colour’s connection to the natural world, as well as its incredible versatility, which is making it a hit with homeowners.

Victoria Yardley, Founder of Victory Colours, said: “Green has a natural ability to make a space feel calm, balanced and inviting. People are increasingly looking to create homes that feel restorative and connected to nature, and green does that beautifully.

“Whether it’s a soft sage, an earthy olive or a deeper forest tone, green is incredibly adaptable. It works as a subtle neutral in some schemes, but can also add richness and character when used more boldly. It’s a colour that feels timeless, comforting and easy to live with, so it is no surprise homeowners are scouring Pinterest for inspiration.”

Victory Colours offers a wide range of green shades. From the deep Ayton Green and rich Katniss through to brighter shades, including Peastachio and the Cornwall-inspired Coming Home Trees.

Victoria added: “That wealth of choice makes green incredibly easy to work with, whether you want to create a light, calming backdrop or add depth and character to a room. Homeowners can feel confident about finding a green that feels personal to them and their home.”

As well as offering a wide range of green shades, Victory Colours’ paints are green in nature too. They are manufactured using environmentally-responsible ingredients and are virtually free from harmful VOCs, helping to maintain a healthy, indoor environment.

Victory Colours’ range of green paint is available now, priced at £44.95 for 2.5-litres of matt emulsion.
