Coastal Character Meets Contemporary Flooring in Stories Flooring’s New Lusso Collections

The enduring appeal of the British coastline has inspired two new luxury vinyl tile collections from independent flooring retailer Stories Flooring.

New for AW26, Lusso Coastal and Lusso Harbour capture the relaxed, natural character of the shoreline through warm wood tones, tactile texture and two distinctive flooring formats. An embossed finish adds depth and definition, combining the authentic look and feel of wood with the durability needed for everyday living.

Lusso Coastal is a wide-plank collection designed to create a calm, expansive feel underfoot. The generous proportions allow the subtle grain and textured detailing of each board to take centre stage, bringing warmth and natural character to interiors.

Putting a contemporary spin on timeless herringbone pattern, Lusso Harbour introduces greater movement and definition. Its classic layout is complemented by deeper visible grain and richer colour, creating a floor with added depth and character.

Available in the same 10 finishes, the two collections also give homeowners the flexibility to combine plank and herringbone flooring within the same interior.

Rather than being designed to match exactly, the two formats complement one another. Coastal provides a more uniform foundation, while the corresponding Harbour finish features deeper visible grain and a slightly richer colour, creating subtle variation while maintaining a cohesive overall palette.

Yarl Christie, Founder of Stories Flooring, said: “There’s something incredibly calming about coastal interiors, and these collections are designed to capture that feeling without becoming overtly nautical. It’s about natural-looking texture, warm wood tones and flooring that feels relaxed and timeless.

“Having both plank and herringbone options also gives homeowners more freedom to play with pattern. The two formats complement each other rather than matching exactly, so you can introduce a subtle change in texture and tone while keeping the overall look beautifully cohesive.”

Lusso Coastal and Lusso Harbour are available in 10 finishes: Warm Sand, Ivory Brush, Burnished Oak, Amber Grain, Nordic Frost, Honey Stone, Aged Oak, Smoked Oak, Dark Roast and Driftwood.

Stories Flooring’s new Lusso Coastal and Harbour ranges are available now, with prices starting at £20.99 per m2.
