Yellow is the colour of the summer, says coastal-inspired art studio Beach House Art.
According to the experts at the independent art house, interest in their yellow-hued original pieces have soared – a trend backed by data from Pinterest, which reveals searches for the term ‘Bright Yellow’ in the Home Décor category have increased 20 per cent over the last month*.
Sarah Weare, Co-Founder of Beach House Art, said: “Yellow is truly having a moment in interiors, and I think that speaks to a wider mood. After long grey spells and unpredictable weather, people are craving warmth, optimism and a little bit of visual sunshine in their homes.
“Yellow has a natural energy to it, but it can also feel soft and comforting when used in warmer, buttery tones. It is a colour that instantly lifts a space, whether it is used in a bold artwork, a painted piece of furniture, a cushion or a carefully chosen accessory.”
Bursting with energy and optimism, Beach House Art’s yellow-hued collections have been designed to bring warmth, character and a playful hit of sunshine into the home.
From snack-snatching seagulls and charming oyster catchers to personalised pieces inspired by favourite song lyrics and classic book covers, each design captures the joy and colour of coastal life. Whether styled as a statement piece or used to brighten a quiet corner, Beach House Art’s artwork offers an easy way to embrace yellow’s feel-good appeal.
Sarah added: “The key with yellow is to treat it as a mood-lifter rather than something that has to dominate the whole room. A flash of yellow artwork against a neutral wall can completely change the feeling of a space, while smaller accents can bring life to schemes that are built around whites, creams, greys or natural materials.
“Cloud Dancer might be the official colour of the year, but I think yellow is going to challenge for the title. It brings personality, warmth and happiness into the home, which is exactly what many people are looking for right now.”
Founded in 2022 by friends Brian MacShane, Sam Clapp and Sarah Weare, Beach House Art was born out of a passion for the coast, the great outdoors and stunning design, as well as the desire to bring affordable, high-quality wall art to all who dream of living by the ocean.
Beach House Art’s range of yellow framed prints are available now, with prices starting at £49.
