Character Is Back: New Fez Tiles Embrace Colour, Texture and Handcrafted Appeal

Rich, soulful and bursting with character, two new tiles from Porcelain Superstore are bringing the warmth and beauty of Moroccan-inspired design into the home this winter.

New for AW26, Fez Ruby and Fez Earth celebrate the perfectly imperfect appeal of traditional zellige tiles, pairing rich, grounding colour with glossy, light-catching surfaces and subtle variations that give walls an artisan feel.

Designed to make an impact in kitchens and bathrooms, the two new additions prove that when it comes to tiles, character is firmly back on the agenda.

Abbas Youssefi, Managing Director at Porcelain Superstore, said: “We’re seeing interiors move away from spaces that feel overly polished or perfect, with homeowners increasingly drawn to colour, texture and finishes that bring a sense of individuality.

“Fez Ruby and Fez Earth tap into that beautifully. Their rich, earthy tones add warmth and depth, while subtle variation and a glossy finish give them that handcrafted, Moroccan-inspired character.

“They’re statement tiles, but they’re also incredibly versatile. Used across a whole wall they can create a wonderfully immersive look, or they can be introduced in smaller areas to bring colour and personality to an otherwise neutral scheme.”

Crafted from sturdy ceramic, the new additions are as durable as they are good looking. And there’s no need to seal them either, making installation straightforward.

Plus, they are water-resistant, easy to clean, and perfect for busy areas including kitchens, bathrooms or shower walls.

Abbas added: “These tiles are made in Italy, but unlike some modern, mass produced tiles, they have an artisan charm with irregular edges and subtle surface undulations.”

Fez Earth and Fez Ruby are available now from Porcelain Superstore, priced at £80 per m2.
