Casa Amber and Alchemy Corton Offer a Warmer Alternative to Cool Greys and Stark Whites

After years of cool greys and stark whites dominating interiors schemes, homeowners are craving depth and richness.

That’s according to the experts at independent tile retailer Porcelain Superstore, who have just launched two new tile collections in comforting brown hues.

Designed especially for walls, Casa Amber and Alchemy Corton from Porcelain Superstore both exude warmth and richness.

Sitting between burnt caramel and polished leather, Casa Amber has a real designer feel with its glossy finish capturing natural light. The small format size ensures it is incredibly versatile, bringing understated glamour to kitchen splashbacks and shower walls.

A touch darker and exuding a more contemporary style, Alchemy Corton is not for the faint-hearted. Inspired by sheets of weathered steel, it brings drama wherever it is used.

Abbas Youssefi, Managing Director of Porcelain Superstore, said: “For years, white and cool grey were the safe choices for homeowners, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. But many people are now finding those schemes can feel a little cold, especially in spaces where they want comfort and character.

“Warmer shades such as brown, caramel, terracotta and copper bring a much softer mood to the home. They still feel sophisticated, but they add depth and richness in a way that stark white often cannot. And they are incredibly versatile too, working beautifully with natural materials, from wood and stone, creating a layered and lived-in look.”

In addition to Alchemy Corton and Casa Amber, Porcelain Superstore offers a wide range of tiles in warming hues.

Large format Foundry Copper is a bold beauty, with rusty tones that brings a modern rustic feel. Its surface is layered with earthy browns and weathered bronze hues, echoing the look of aged metal softened over time.

For those homeowners who want to bring a touch of period charm to their space, Regency Caramel is a tile inspired by Victorian interiors and finished with a glossy glaze. Its golden-brown tones create a welcoming atmosphere and injects character into any space.

Abbas added: “Caramel, copper and brown tones will introduce warmth without overwhelming the room.”

Porcelain Superstore’s range of warming tiles are available now, with prices starting at £52.50 per m2.
